Around my way

I love the convenience of a car but something about walking around the city invigorates me and makes me smile all day. Here are some pictures I snapped while in between work and other places. I like to focus on lines and really appreciate the way they intersect kind of like on a graph. As you can see from some of these pictures lines can create borders and really help focus an object in the photograph. I'm still learning but I think these are pretty good do far! Can't wait to show you guys more <3

Meet Dakota and Elle

I've been kind of obsessed with the Fanning sisters for awhile now. They're super talented actresses with a clear love of high fashion. The cover/spread they did for W magazine is beyond gorgeous, and show the fairy tale life these two lead. In their world haute couture is their dress up and they are every designers muse. Check out these insane pictures from their shoot with photographer Mario Sorrenti. I pretty much died from start to finish looking through these but my favorites are tied between the cover and the lipstick shot. What do you guys think?!

Get the look: Burberry Shearling Boots

Since the debut of these booties there have been many "similar styles", but none have quite matched the originals like this pair from Vera Wang's line for Kohls. The Simply Vera line has produced some of my favorite shoes and these boots are no different. They are extremely comfortable given the 4 1/2 inch heel and the quality is insane. The shearling is super soft and sure to keep you warm. The best part about these boots is that right now they're on sale for $48.99, such a steal!!!

Vintage Finds

Finding a vintage shop is literally like finding buried treasure. I came across this one yesterday, while heading to my favorite coffee shop on main street. I peaked inside but didn't see much, so I was about to head out when the sales lady mentioned they had two other floors. I thanked her and made my way down stairs to find a room full of buried treasure. Every item was beyond amazing and my eyes couldn't stop moving from piece to the next. If I really had to choose though I think my favorite piece was a blue dress that dated back to 1920(last picture). It was styled with a straw hat and immediately made me think of The Gatsby era. I can't wait to visit this shop again and play dress up with everything! <3

Greece on Preston street

The city paper is one of my go to places for events. This Greek festival was within walking distance from home and had one of my favorite foods so it was an absolute must for me. I had a blast seeing the dancing and authentc garments, but my favorite part b far was the food. Here some of the highlights and delishous sightings.

 The ad that lured me

Dolls and trinkets

My favorite part

Get the look: Hunter Boots

I've never really been a galosh type of girl and every time it rains I scold myself for not being smart enough to buy a pair cute or not. I like many of you have drooled over the sturdy but polished style that Hunter provides but can not justify the $125 price tag. Well now you can get this style for the amazing price of $30!! Just 30 bucks for this sleek rain boot from lulus.com. and they come in a rainbow of colors so you can go classic or prep. Better check them out before they're all gone. <3
