Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

There's way too much to say about all of the amazingness that went on in New York last week. So I'll try to sum up some of the shows I watched in between experiments.

Diane Von Furstenburg: Signature bold prints were used for plunging jumpsuits and shifts that screamed HBIC. Oh and don't forget the sick accessories.

J. Mendel: Amazingly flowy dresses and gowns made for the woman who lives in the wind were intensely saturated with vibrant hues.

Rachel Zoe: Safari chic meets glamor girl with killer hats, gowns and a gorgeous amount of sequins.

Inspiration: Marc Jacobs S/S 2013

One of the major goals of blogging especially fashion blogging is to develop a fan base. Make people care about what you have to say so they'll tell some one who will tell someone else and next thing you know you're taking pictures backstage shows during fashion week. That sounds cool and believe me I'm very grateful to all of those bloggers to whom I'm big fans of! That's not really the reason I blog though, I blog because it's my outlet. I can say whatever I want whenever I want and don't really have think twice about who's going to read it.
With that said sometimes I need to be super inspired to write a post. When something really inspires me I can't seem to shut up about it ( i.e. how long this post is becoming). Point is that amongst all the shows going on in NY this week I have been most inspired by Marc Jacobs S/S 2013. I'm in love with what he's been doing for Louis Vuitton and its not just the clothes. It's the entire show! The way he's chosen to showcase his work, it really tells a story, I mean how major was his debut of Louis Vuitton F/W 2012?!? This collection did not disappoint. I love how he nods to the working woman from the 60's but in a modern cool way. The low bouffants, circle motifs and mod suits seem so fresh. My favorite part of the show though is most definitely the runway. The idea of models coming out of different doors simultaneously is genius and the end is beyond brilliant!! I wont ruin it for you though so with out further adieu here is my inspiration and Marc Jacobs S/S 2013.

PS. Be prepared for more inspired posts it is fashion week after all!

101 Dalmatians

I know leopard is the spotted print of choice but its got some serious competition this season from Dalmatian prints. Dalmatian is taking over and I love it!! I've been obsessed after I recently purchased a Dalmatian print blouse from H&M. So lets do a quick run through of the reasons why you should save at least one spot( pun is most definitely intended) in your closet for this gorgeous print.
1. Black and white is a timeless combination that will never go out of style
2. Just like its leopard cousin, Dalmatian print is very luxe
3. Cruella de Vil, she wasn't the nicest fashionista but lets face it the women had style, hence the fur below (so sick right!!)

pants H&M, shorts J Crew, fur jacket Piperlime, top H&M,
booties Ann Taylor, wristlet Ann Taylor, pumps Elizabeth and James
